2024.8.19-20 High schooler internship
Students from Tsu High School, Kikuzato High School, and Aikodai Meiden High School did a one-day internship at our lab. We hope they enjoyed chemotaxis assays and observing green worms!
2024.7.18-19 Souhatsu meeting in Kyoto
The third Souhatsu meeting (融合の場) was held at Kyoto University. Ken presented a poster and organized a closed meeting about aging with Dr. Kenichi Nagata.
2024.7.16-18 Meeting at OIST
Ryusei and Ken attended a Souhatsu meeting at OIST in Okinawa and presented posters! We were also glad to take a selfie with Dr. Sydney Brenner, the father of C. elegans studies!
2024.7.9 Thesis presentation
Mariko, Shiori, and Shivaani did presentations for their Bachelor's degree. Everyone did a great job!!
2024.6.14-15 GTR retreat
Rikuou and Ken attended the GTR program retreat in Toyohashi. Rikuou presented a proposal for an interdisciplinary research project and won third place!
2024.3.25 Graduation
Rikuou and Yuto got a Master of Science, and Sota got a Bachelor of Science. Congratulations!!
2024.3.13-15 Ken attended the EMBO-JST joint workshop
Ken attended the EMBO-JST joint workshop and gave two presentations about science and career path. He also attended the leadership workshop to be a good leader. Let's see if he gets any better... He also visited Park of Aging. Aging man studying aging at Park of Aging...
2024.2.21 Binta presented at Brain Science meeting
Binta gave a poster presentation at The 4th international symposium on Frontend Brain Science–Yamanashi GLIA center. She met Ken's posdoc mentor, Dr. Yishi Jin, at the meeting. Jin is her grandma in science!
2024.2.5, 7 Thesis presentation
Sota (BS), Rikuou (MS), and Yuto (MS) presented their thesis works! All of them did great presentations! Rikuou got the second place!! Congratulations!!
