Sota presented his Master's thesis, and Masako presented her Bachelor's thesis. Sota got second place for his presentation! Congratulations!!
2026.1.10 Kansai Worm Meeting
Ken organized Kansai Worm Meeting with other organizers, and Kokoa attended it. They enjoyed wonderful talks and active discussion. Unfortunately, nobody from our group presented this year. Next time!
2026.1.9 GTR symposium
Rikuou presented his poster at the GTR (Graduate Program of Transformative Chem-Bio Research) symposium and received positive feedback. Good job!
2025.12.27 Year-end party!
We had a year-end Zoom reunion and party at Ken's apartment. Yuto and Ryusei visited us! It was great to see our alumni, and we had a nice time! Sota got the Discovery of the Year award for his scientific presentation. Congratulations!
2025.12.1-2 Sakigake reunion
Ken presented at Sakigake (JST PRESTO grant) Reunion at Tokyo University. All the alumni are doing great!
2025.11.18 Academic Flash Live!
Ken presented at an interdisciplinary meeting, Academic Flash Live!, on campus! He initiated Academic Flash (Zoom lunch meeting) in 2021 with other organizers. This was the first in-person event after 50 online sessions! Such a memorable moment!
2025.10.15-20 Ken's trip to China
Ken's postdoc colleague, Suhong, kindly invited him to give talks at Zhejiang University and the Chinese Worm PI meeting in Fuzhou. Ken was moved by Suhong's hospitality and the great science of the ever-growing Chinese worm community. 2025.10.2 Softball tournament
We joined the BioSci Softball Tournament with the Ohsawa lab members. We managed to win the first round, but had no luck in the final round. We enjoyed it anyway!!
2025.9.13-15 ABiSS2025 at Kagawa
Ken organized ABiSS2025 (Anti-disciplinary Biomedical Scientific Symposium) meeting in Kotohira, Kagawa. Kagawa is Ken's hometown! Masako gave an oral presentation and got the Best Presentation Award! See the pictures on the Gallery page!
2025.8.28-30 Sugashima lab trip!
We went on a lab trip to Sugashima Island with the Ohsawa lab and Kurosu kun! We isolated nematodes from the beach and collected marine organisms with the help of Goshima-san and his lab members. See pictures in the Gallery page!
